*Gasp* Oh! You found me.
Finding a new blog on the internet can kind of be like playing a game of hide and seek. You’re never really sure who you’ll find and where. Well, today you found me. Who am I? I’m Emily, soon to be fat registered dietitian and aspiring nutrition writer who wants to help you fix your relationship with your health and food.
Now, before you start thinking how I am just another dietitian that will fill you with empty promises, I can assure you that this is not that page. If you are looking for that page, please go back to google and search “creator of broken dreams”.
I’m here to teach you how you can become healthy no matter what shape or size you come in. I’m here to inspire you to incorporate healthful habits that make you feel good.
That’s right, I’m here for YOU.
Things you can expect from my blog:
- Honesty: I will never try to sell you or promote to you any magical cures to help “improve your health” or “lose 15 pounds in 7 days”. It doesn’t work like that, trust me I’ve tried.
- Ways to improve your health that don’t revolve around your weight
- Humor: I personally love a good laugh at least 5x per day, but preferrably more
- Science: I believe in the power of science and good research. Anything you see on here will be science driven. If you feel that it’s not accurate, I encourage you to reach out to me.
- Positivity: Now, I know the world isn’t always sunshine and rainbows but this isn’t my thirteen year old self’s diary either (yikes!). I promise to make sure my content is positive and a true reflection of how I act in my daily life.
- Recipes: Because who doesn’t like trying something new?
- The word fat: I’m going to be open and honest with you, I have no personal problem with the word fat. I am fat, I have fat, and I’m okay with that (hey, that rhymed!). I will never use the word to describe someone who is not on the same terms as me with the word fat. However, I will use it on myself occassionally.
Things you won’t see here:
- Hate speech
- Magic cures
- A Dr. Oz fan club
- Positive promotion of the keto diet (don’t even get me started)
If you’ve made it to this point, congrats! I’m glad I didn’t lose you to that google search. I’m so excited for you to join me on the journey to assist you in fixing your relationship with health and food.
